Jessica Jeffers studies empirical corporate finance, with a special interest in sustainability, entrepreneurship, and labor. At HEC, she co-holds the Rothschild & Co chair for Data and Impact Investment. She has published in both finance and law journals. 

Before joining HEC Paris, Jeffers was on the finance faculty at the University of Chicago Booth. She holds a PhD in finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BA in economics & mathematics from Yale University. Outside of academia, Jeffers has worked in management consulting for the financial industry.
